"Building Our Community since 1888" The Builders’ Exchange of Rochester is a not-for-profit association of businesses identified with the building industry. Our mission is to lead, inform, promote and support the construction industry to build a better community. Exchange members build every type of commercial, industrial, institutional and public building; they supply building materials, fixtures, machinery and equipment for every type of construction; they furnish surety bonds, mortgage loans, financing and insurance for every construction activity. Established in 1888, the Builders Exchange is guided by a diverse membership that shares the common bonds of pride, leadership, professionalism and respect for a changing industry. It is the only trade association that specifically serves the needs of the entire construction industry in the Rochester MSA (metropolitan statistical area). Through our plan room, we provide access to plans and specs for projects across New York State. From the beginning of the building process, we supply information on all aspects of a project allowing our members to run an efficient business. We are also actively involved in on-going efforts to reduce the regulatory burdens imposed on businesses in New York.
