The Builders Exchange of Rochester continuously provides up-to-date information about new projects out for bid. This information is gathered from local, state, and federal agencies, architects, engineers, private owners, general contractors and construction managers. We cover projects in the Rochester MSA (with the exception of smaller residential developments). Strong relationship with other Exchanges outside our area allows us to access major projects of interest to our members.
The Builders Exchange offers two membership levels:
- Standard:
Access to on-line listing of Public and Private Project opportunities but with no on-line access to plans and specifications. Members need to visit the physical planroom located at our office to view plans and specs. With 10 drafting tables, staff on hand to provide assistance, and printers and copiers, we provide all the necessary tools for Standard members to remain competitive in today’s fast moving industry.

- Upgrade:
Our online system allows our members to review building documents and to measure, estimate and prepare construction bids with complete accuracy, all from the ROBEX web site. Architects, general contractors, subcontractors and others now are able to prepare bids and review building documents any hour of the day or night from their office or work site without traveling to a plan center. In addition, project architects and general contractors save the expense of preparing numerous sets of drawing plans. Now one set of plans posted on the ROBEX web site can provide information to unlimited numbers of users at once.
Annual cost: $1,151*
- Single Use Access:
Access is available to contractors and subcontractors for a 24 hour period at a cost of $95 plus tax. To gain access to the planroom please contact our office at 586-5460.
NOTE: Membership in the Builders Exchange of Rochester is a company membership and as such all direct employees of the member company enjoy full use of the services. Subcontractors, affiliated companies, joint partnerships, etc. are not considered part of the member company and are not afforded membership rights.
